Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan is making headlines after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested him in a drug case. Along with Aryan, several others including Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra and Arbaaz Merchant were taken into custody by the agency on October 3. And while Aryan Khan is making news for all the wrongs reasons, here are all the times when superstar Shah Rukh Khan spoke about his son with great pride.
On Bollywood debut
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan talked about Aryan Khan when he appeared on David Letterman's talk show. He said, "He (Aryan) doesn't have what it takes to be an actor and he realises that too but he's a good writer... I think wanting to be an actor has to come from within. Something you really need to do and find a set of skill that helps you do it and learn it. But I think I realised it from him when he said that to me." "He came to me and said, 'I don't think I want to act.' His issue was - which is think is practical and honest - he said, 'Every time I'll be compared to you... and I don't want to be in that position'," added SRK.
On Aryan's inclination towards direction
Aryan Khan has studied filmmaking in US. While talking about the same, SRK told Mumbai Mirror, "Aryan doesn't want to be an actor, he wants to make films, become a director and is training for it in the US. Abram, I don't know, he’s good-looking enough to be a rock star."
On Aryan Khan's career choices
SRK once said that his son Aryan is more sorted than him. The 'Dilwale' actor always had a great bond with his children. In an interview with IANS, superstar Shah Rukh Khan said, "My kids are extremely sorted... They are more sorted than I am. Strangely, people would expect the star kids to be spoiled, but they are damn good kids. Aryan is a nice, strong boy. He talks about his ambitions, and where he would like to be one day. But he's very clear that way. He just wants to be bigger than me and that's cool."
On his bond with son Aryan Khan
According to a report by The Indian Express, SRK said, "When I am with Aryan sometimes, we just lay down in our shorts without our shirts and we crack some dirty jokes. He gets really excited telling me about gaalis he's learnt. I'm from Delhi and I've also been that age and my vocabulary of Hindi gaalis is fantastic (smiles). So when he tells me one, I tell him that I'll teach him another version of it. So that's cool."
Thanked fans on Aryan's behalf
When SRK and Aryan dubbed for the movie 'The Lion King', fans were quick to notice the similarities between their voice. SRK took to Twitter and thanked his fans on behalf of his son Aryan Khan. Shah Rukh tweeted, "Young Lions don't tweet so on behalf of Simba #AryanKhan I want to thank u all for appreciating his effort. Doesn't his voice sound a bit familiar? Or is it just me?"
