Aamir Khan has locked Christmas 2024 for his next release, whose details haven't been shared yet by the actor or his production house Aamir Khan Productions.
After the box office failure of Laal Singh Chaddha last year, Aamir Khan had announced that he will take a break from acting and spend more time with his family. And now, the superstar's love for acting has brought him back as Aamir is set to headline his new film and locked Christmas 2024 for its release.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the update on his social media handles when he wrote, "AAMIR KHAN LOCKS CHRISTMAS 2024 FOR NEXT FILM. Aamir Khan Productions’ Prod No. 16 [not titled yet], starring #AamirKhan in the lead role, to release on 20 Dec 2024 #Christmas2024. Pre-production of the film is ongoing and the film goes on floors on 20 Jan 2024. More details to follow soon." An official announcement from Aamir Khan Productions is still awaited.
Talking about Aamir Khan's shocking announcement at his friend's event in Delhi in November 2022, the Dangal actor had said, "When I am doing a film as an actor, I get so lost in it that nothing else happens in my life. I feel that I want to take a break, I want to be with my family, I want to be with my mom and my kids. I feel I have been working for 35 years. For these 35 years, I have single-mindedly focused on my work and I feel that it's not fair to the people who are close to me and it's not fair to me also in many ways. This is the time that I would like to take some time off and actually experience life in a different way."
Aamir's comeback film will clash with Akshay Kumar as Welcome 3, officially titled Welcome To The Jungle, is set to release on Christmas next year. Akshay returns to the comedy franchise after John Abraham had replaced him in Welcome Back. Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi have replaced Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor in the threequel.
