Earlier, Abhishek Bachchan had slammed a false media report, which on the basis of some pictures and videos had alleged that the actor and his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, were experiencing bad times. In a reply to his take down of the now-deleted tweet and report, a Twitter user had written, “Not worked for last 3 years but has money for vacation ! How ?”
To this the Raavan actor replied, “Because, sir, I have several other businesses that I run apart from acting and producing movies. Sports being just one of them.”
Those who're uninitiated, Junior Bachchan is the owner of Pro Kabaddi League team Jaipur Pink Panthers and a co-owner of Indian Super League football team Chennaiyin FC.
In another incident, Abhishek responded to a person who wondered why director Anurag Kashyap had cast him in his next movie titled Manmarziyaan, after having worked with the likes of Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vicky Kaushal, Manoj Bajpayee and others.
”Yay, he called me a film star!!!” Abhishek replied.
When the person said what he had ‘meant’ to say was that Abhishek was the ‘son of a movie star.’ to this, Abhishek replied, “Oh… You ‘meant’… Chalo, I’ll consider it a Freudian slip. And BTW @TusshKapoor would be a great choice.”
Earlier this week, an IndiaForum’s report said that his wife Aishwarya wasn’t allowing their daughter Aaradhya to hold his hand because they’d fought. “With due respect. Please refrain from making up false stories. I understand the need to continuously post, but would really appreciate it if you could do so responsibly and without mischievous intent. Thank you,” Abhishek responded to the tweet, following which the post was deleted by the portal.
Abhishek Bachchan doesn't take online trollers against him and his family lightly. He is pretty vocal and gives back a punch for an answer (not literally), if miscreants talk gibberish.
In 2015, Abhishek had replied to a man who had brought in Aaradhya while talking about the actor’s career. “Don’t like my movies? That’s cool. Will work harder to make movies you like. Bringing my daughter into it is NOT cool,” he had written.
In May, when a person on Twitter called him ‘useless’ Abhishek replied, “Walk a mile in my shoes, brother. If you even manage 10 steps I’ll be impressed. Judging by your tweets don’t think you’ll make it too far! Spend time improving yourself, don’t worry about others. God knows, we all have our own journeys. Get well soon.”
Back in April, Twitterati didn't even refrain from making fun of him for living with his parents, to which the actor had replied, “Yes! And it’s the proudest moment for me to be able to be there for them, as they have for me. Try it sometime, you might feel better about yourself.”
That's the way to go! Serrated, yet graceful.
On the work front, Abhishek Bachchan, is returning on the big screen after two years with Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyan. The film is slated to release on September 21.
