Directed by Om Raut and based on Ramayana, Adipurush is streaming in Hindi on Netflix and in the four South Indian languages on Prime Video.

Starring Prabhas as Raghava aka Lord Rama, Kriti Sanon as Janaki aka Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh aka Ravana, Adipurush was released in the theatres on June 16. Directed by Om Raut and based on the Sanskrit epic Ramayana, the film was brutally trolled for its horrible visual effects, poor characterisation, and pedestrian language.

Now, after around two months of its theatrical release, Adipurush had a rather quiet OTT release on Friday, August 11, without any major announcement by the makers. Prime Video is streaming the film in the four South Indian languages Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, and the film's Hindi version is available for streaming on Netflix. The mythological drama has originally been made in the Telugu and Hindi languages, and dubbed in the other three languages.

Made on a budget of over Rs 600 crore, the Om Raut directorial is among the costliest films in the history of Indian cinema. This is the reason that even after earning a gross worldwide collection of Rs 390 crore (as per the entertainment tracking portal Sacnilk.com), it has turned out to be a massive commercial failure. The film is the third major flop in Prabhas' career after Saaho and Radhe Shyam but the Baahubali star would hope to bounce back with his next Salaar releasing on September 28.

The mythological action film Adipurush also stars Sunny Singh as Sesh (Lakshmana), Devdatta Nage as Bajrang (Lord Hanuman), Vatsal Sheth as Indrajit (Meghnada), Sonal Chauhan as Mandodari, Siddhant Karnick as Vibhishana, Krishna Kotian as Dashratha, and Trupti Todarmal as Sarama among others. The film is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair under their banners T-Series and Retrophiles.
