Ayushmann Khurrana

After his turn as a ‘blind’ man in the recently-released AndhaDhun, he will be seen as a son coping up with his mother’s pregnancy in Badhaai Ho. Now, he’s made another addition to the list.

Ayushmann Khurrana has an enviable repertoire. The actor, who made an impressive debut with Vicky Donor (2012), has carefully chosen a less-trodden path in films as compared to other actors who like to play it safe. Last year, he tasted success with Bareilly Ki Barfi as well as Shubh Mangal Saavdhan in which he essayed the role of a man suffering from erectile dysfunction. After his turn as a ‘blind’ man in the recently-released  AndhaDhun, he will be seen as a son coping up with his mother’s pregnancy in Badhaai Ho. Now, he’s made another addition to the list.

Says a source, “Ayushmann has signed a quirky comedy with Ekta Kapoor’s banner. Titled Googly, it will be directed by Raaj Shaandilya.” Our khabri reveals, “In the film, Ayushmann will reportedly play a guy who works at a call centre, but the twist is that he talks to men, in a woman’s voice. He has already started preparing for it. Since he has been an RJ and VJ, he fits the bill perfectly.” The film’s casting is complete. “Nushrat Bharucha will play his love interest in Googly,’’ adds our source.
