Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana is being celebrated globally as his body of work, comprising social entertainers, have triggered important conversations in India and about India. Ayushmann is now the face of UNICEF in India and has also been lauded as one of the Most Influential People in the world by TIME Magazine. Ayushmann feels he has celebrated and represented India correctly through his films which has resonated with the world.
Ayushmann, who has delivered eight back to back hits, says, "I try to tell stories that are essentially rooted in the Indian microcosm and are about real people and their real lives in our culturally diverse country. I think that's why these stories have resonated with people not just in India but also with Indians who live abroad or with people who are interested to know more about our country."
The star will continue delivering important messages through his highly awaited next projects like 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' and 'Doctor G'. He will also be seen in 'Anek', being directed by Anubhav Sinha. Earlier, about shooting in Prayagraj for the film 'Doctor G', Ayushmann had said, "“I have always wanted to travel the length and breadth of our beautiful country and fortunately my work is taking me to incredibly distinct destinations. I will be shooting a film for the first time in Prayagraj. Coincidentally, when I was participating in Roadies, I rode through this city and shot for the series."
"I still remember getting mesmerised by its history, heritage and architecture. Prayagraj sees the confluence of three rivers - Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati and I was deeply enamoured by its breathtaking beauty. I will be shooting again in this beautiful city and I can't wait to go back," he added. "It will bring back a deluge of emotions and nostalgia for me. I will try and find some time to visit the places that I had shot for Roadies just to relive my days of struggle and self-belief. It will be amazing to shoot in the city that carved my fortune at the start of my career," he concluded.
