Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, daughter Aaradhya Bachchan test positive for COVID-19

A day after Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek tested coronavirus positive, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and baby Aaradhya have tested positive for the virus as well.

After Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, both Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.

As per Assistant Commissioner Vishwas Mote, the reports came out at 2:30 pm today.

On the other hand, Jaya Bachchan, daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda and her children Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda have tested negative for the virus.

Both Big B and Abhishek had taken to their social media pages on Saturday evening and confirmed about getting diagnosed with coronavirus. Jaya and Aishwarya also underwent swab tests along with Aaradhya and other family members, the results of which came out on Sunday afternoon.

Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope also confirmed the news through Twitter. "Smt. Aishwarya Rai Bacchan & Daughter Aaradhya Abhishek Bacchan have also been detected positive for Covid19. Smt. Jaya Bachhan ji is tested negative for covid19. We wish the Bacchan Family to get well soon with a speedy recovery," he tweeted. However, the tweet was later deleted.

Amitabh Bachchan has been treated in the Nanavati hospital and his condition is said to be stable. He will post medical bulletins twice in a day on his social media accounts to keep fans and followers updated on his health.

 

Meanwhile, Mumbai's civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) undertook sanitisation of the Bachchans' residence Jalsa on Sunday morning. The bungalow has been sealed.
