After Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, now another superstar is all set to make inroads across the border.

The Chinese market has become a huge profit-maker for the Bollywood industry. In the recent past, films like PK, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Hichki, which have been screened there, have worked wonders at their box office. After Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, now another superstar is all set to make inroads across the border. Ajay Devgn’s last release, Raid, will hit the Chinese screens next year.

The Raj Kumar Gupta directorial, which released in March, has already fared well at the Indian box office. Bhushan Kumar, head honcho of T-Series, says, “Raid has been one of the most loved films of this year. People have appreciated its content, which has resulted in good numbers at the BO. We had been in talks with the Chinese government to release it there. They had also expressed interest in showcasing our movie in their theatres.” However, the producer also adds that strict guidelines have to be followed since ‘only a certain number of foreign films are allowed to release in China’.

Last month, Ajay even won the Best Foreign Actor Award for Raid at the Chinese Film Festival. So there’s curiosity among the audience to watch the thriller drama. Bhushan reveals, “We plan to release it in the first half of 2019 in China. The exact date is yet to be confirmed by our partners.”
