Akshay Kumar, who is holidaying with his family in the USA, has flown down to Mumbai just for a day to be a part of a special event planned for his upcoming film, Gold. A few days ago, the makers unveiled the first look of the romantic song Naino Ne Baandhi filmed on him and Mouni Roy.
Now, the number will be performed live at the event. Akshay and Mouni are likely to join the singers, while Amit Sadh and Kunal Kapoor, who feature in the sports drama, will also be present. An insider says, “The event will be a royal experience to everyone attending. This is the first time the entire cast of the movie is coming together for an event. Since the story is real and an important part of our history set in the pre-1947 period, a massive set is being built, which will give a feel of that era.” Set in the 1940s and ’50s, the movie traces the journey of a man dreaming to win Independent India’s first Olympic gold in hockey.
