2.0 is the much-awaited film of 2018 which brings together two biggest superstars - Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar in the most costliest film made in India. Shankar's sci-fi has the two actors pitted against each other in the film but on the sets Khiladi Kumar is a fan.

Just like all of us, Akshay Kumar is a Rajinikanth fan and confesses Thalaiva is "the only one in the industry who has got swag." In an interview to Mid-Day, the actor said, "Once, we were just sitting on the set, waiting for the next shot and he brushed some dirt off his pants. The entire unit was awestruck by how stylishly he did it. Everything he does is so stylish. I even enjoyed getting punched by him."

After churning out 130 films in Bollywood, Akki is making his debut in the southern cinema with 2.0. His quirky looks have got everyone curious but Akshay Kumar  without revealing much about his character confirmed he is the antagonist in the film. He told Mumbai daily "Many people asked me why I wanted to play a villain and I told them, 'Why not?' A hero exists only when there's a villain. I had never imagined that I would be part of the costliest Indian film."

There were rumours about teaser of 2.0 being out on January 6th but that didn't happen. Earlier, Rajinikanth too explained the reason for delay of 2.0. He said, "Director Shankar gave me nationwide fame. The humongous amount of money they invest in me is all because of you (fans). They trust in me, and my fans and 2.0 is the result of that trust. I don't know if a film like that will ever be made again. How we all celebrate Chandralekha as a classic, 2.0 will also stand out. The film is delayed because of the extensive CG work. And (AR) Rahman can start the re-recording only after the entire visuals are ready. So the film's release is postponed to 14 April."

Till then Akshay Kumar is enjoying fans' guessing game about what is going to happen in Endhiran sequel. Laughing off at the rumours of him playing a scientist who becomes a crow after his expirement goes wrong, the actor said "Whatever you hear about 2.0 is all a lie as no one knows anything about it and we are not allowed to talk about it. In fact, I'm glad such rumours are doing the rounds because people will be in for a surprise when they watch the film."

But before that, Akshay Kumar will be seen in PadMan on 25th January, which will clash with Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmaavat on the big screen.
