Apart from featuring in R Balki’s social drama PadMan, actor Akshay Kumar has his hands full with Reema Kagti’s Gold, Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0 and the recently announced Kesari. Interestingly, Akshay has donned several diverse avatars for all his upcoming films.
Now in real life too, Akshay has recently been spotting in a different look. The actor started sporting a bald look during the promotions of PadMan. Considering his new suave look, everyone started wondering the reason behind it and if it was for a film.
Speculations were rife that the Akshay was perhaps just going bald, and decided not to hide his receding hairline. Rumours were also abuzz that the actor has shaved his head because he was readying for hair transplant in South Africa.
While we praise Akshay for not hiding his real-life look, a source close to India Today revealed the real reason behind it. "Akshay had bonded hair before. He never went for a surgery. Unfortunately, the hair that the artificial hair bonded with also started thinning, prompting the doctor to tell him that his hair follicles are too weak to hold bonded hair.", the source added. Apparently, Akshay couldn't go through with his surgery plans owing to his hectic schedule.
However, Akshay has now put all rumours to rest during Pad Man promotions on a television show. He revealed that he decided to go bald as he is currently shooting for Kesari and has to wear a huge turban, which is uncomfortable and hot.
Well, we must say, Akshay is no novice in sporting different avatars on and off-screen.
