As intense a movie as Gold is shaping up to be, the actual making of the movie seems like a lot more fun. Just yesterday, the makers of the Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy movie released a behind-the-scenes video, which showcased the complicated shooting and prep process for the movie. Now, we've gotten a more candid look at what goes on behind the camera, proof that Akshay Kumar can really lighten up when the time calls for it.
Mouni plays Akshay's wife, a feisty Bengali who doesn't shy away from pushing her husband around or beating him up. The real magic, however, comes when Akshay decides to prank her by pretending to be a BBC Reporter taking her interview over the phone, and then revealing himself to her. Safe to say, she wasn't extremely pleased, but it was all in good fun.
Mouni talked about how nervous she got around Akshay, and how she couldn't bring herself to actually beat him at the start. She soon warmed up to him and laid it down heavy. In fact, he says in the video that she'd become so skilled at beating him up that he gave her the nickname 'the husband beater'. He even ended the video with a sweet and hilarious message for her, signing it off with "With love and lots of bruises, Akshay".
