Akshay Kumar was recently quoted as saying at the special event of Gold, "We have around 18-19 gold medals, which is the highest if we count in Commonwealth, India winning these many gold medals at the Commonwealth is a very big achievement"
Speaking about the film Akshay added, "Hockey is a very important game for us, this is the first game which got us a gold medal in 1948, I hope when this film releases, it gives hockey its due credit which it deserves, I hope things change".
The actor further informed, "Before the trailer came out most people didn't know that we got our first gold medal in 1948, Its a very important film for me and for our country, and for people and for our youngsters, to know what our past was, what our history was."
