Akshay Kumar wishes everyone Happy Mahashivratri, tweets 'Har Har Mahadev'

Akshay Kumar is celebrating Mahashivratri by looking at Lord Shiva

Akshay Kumar, who is currently in news for his upcoming movie Good News, has turned out to be one of the first Bollywood celebrities to wish his happy Happy Mahashivratri. The actor posed for the photo in a suit and tie. In the photo, superstar Akshay Kumar is adoring the wall which has Lord Shiva's painting on it.

Sharing the picture of him looking at Lord Shiva in meditation, Akshay captioned the photo, "This #MahaShivratri, may Lord Shiva bless you and your family with peace and prosperity #HarHarMahadev." This paved way for his fans to share their wishes on the auspicious day.

Co-incidentally Akshay Kumar has played Lord Krishna on screen in OMG: Oh My God. His role was one of the most remembered roles of that time. Currently, the actor has movies like Kesari, Housefull 4 and SooryavanshiWhile Kesari and Housefull 4 are up for release, Sooryavanshi, the third installment of Rohit Shetty's cop franchise, will go on floors soon.

For the uninitiated, Akshay is a believer of Lord Ganesha. He brings the lord home every year on Ganesh Chaturthi and has a hand-crafted idol of him at his house's entance too. Lord Ganesha happens to be Lord Shiva's first son, who got special abilities from Lord Shiva himself.
