It is all a mumbo-jumbo now in 'Bharat' as Salman Khan is suddenly left with no heroine after Priyanka Chopra's abrupt exit from the film. And, it is being said that the actor has gone into an overdrive mode to find a replacement. While Katrina Kaif is his first choice, Jacqueline Fernandez is also being considered.
Neither Salman nor Priyanka, it was director Ali Abbas Zafar who broke the heart-breaking news to the world on July 27 and since then fans have been pestering the director to reveal the name of the actress who would now replace Priyanka in the film.
Ali ackowledged all their queries on Saturday and promised that the big announcement would be made soon. He wrote, "Yes yes yes … we will announce the leading lady of Bharat soon.. We have been shooting Non-stop and the simultaneously preparing for international schedules."
If a mid-day report is to be believed then Salman already had an inkling that Priyanka might exit from the film and hence he had already initiated talks with his ex lover Katrina Kaif during their Dabangg Reloaded Tour in the US.
"Priyanka had been in talks with the Bharat team over the past two weeks about how she may have to opt out for personal reasons. Sensing Priyanka's iffy attitude, Salman initiated talks with Katrina during their Dabangg Reloaded Tour in the US. Other names including that of Jacqueline are also being tossed around. But Katrina is likely to give her nod as soon as she returns from London," a trade source told mid-day.
Katrina and Ali Abbas Zafar are great friends and we won't be surprised if she gets finalised for the role. If she agrees, this will be their second collaboration after 'Tiger Zinda Hai'.
Salman Khan's Bharat also stars Disha Patani, Tabu and Nora Fatehi.
