Alia Bhatt, on Wednesday night, surprised her fans as she shared a screenshot of her video chat with Varun Dhawan and director Shashank Khaitan as their superhit film 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania', clocked 4 years. Alia also dropped a major hint about a possible sequel, part three, of the series and confirmed that it is being planned.
The trio has previously worked in 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' (2014) and 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania' (2017) and if the planning materialises, this will be the third film in the series. Sharing the screengrab on her Instagram stories, Alia wrote, "Here we are four years later secretly discussing part 3! Love you guys! Happy 4 years to us."

For the uninformed, Alia is currently in Mumbai, whereas Varun is away in Arunachal Pradesh, shooting for his upcoming supernatural film, 'Bhediya', with Kriti Sanon.
On the work front, Alia is awaiting the release of her much-anticipated film, 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. The teaser of the film was unveiled in February and got a rousing welcome, both from fans and friends, and colleagues from the film industry.
The film is based on a chapter from Hussain Zaidi's book Mafia Queens of Mumbai about Gangubai Kothewali, the madam of a brothel in Kamathipura. Varun, meanwhile, has completed shooting for his film 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo' opposite Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor and is currently filming 'Bhediya'.
Directed by Amar Kaushik, 'Bhediya' also features Kriti Sanon and marks producer Dinesh Vijan's third film in his "horror-comedy universe" after 'Stree' and 'Roohi'.
On the personal front, Varun got married to his childhood friend Natasha Dalal in January this year. Varun and Natasha, who have been school friends, began dating in their mid-20s and had their Roka ceremony in 2020.
