Alia Bhatt is being attacked on the social media platform Reddit as the users have unearthed one of her old pictures in which she is spotted carrying a leather bag while sporting a shirt that says 'Speak Up For Animals' at the Mumbai airport. The Redditors are calling out the actress for her 'height of hypocrisy'.
The pictures, originally clicked in October 2021, have been shared on the famous Reddit thread 'BollyBlindsNGossip' with the caption, "Height of hypocrisy, carrying leather bag while wearing Speak Up for Animals shirt." Several netizens have brutally attacked the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress with several comments.
"She’s as bright as a black hole", wrote one user while another added, "All celebs in a nutshell, including the ones who campaign for climate action by flying around the world in private jets." "The script was 'Odd day: Speak for animals, Even day: Carry leather bag.' Alia Bhatt being Alia Bhatt, just messed it up", read another comment. A netizen even joked, "She means RK’s Animal. She wants us all to speak for it", referring to her husband-actor Ranbir Kapoor's next film Animal.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia will be seen next in the romantic comedy Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Set to release on July 28, 2023, the Karan Johar directorial pairs her up with her Gully Boy co-star Ranveer Singh after four years. The film also stars veteran actors Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles.
Apart from the KJo film, Alia's first Hollywood movie Heart Of Stone will also release on the streaming platform Netflix this year. Also starring Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan, the spy thriller actioner will have its digital premiere on the same date as Alia's husband-actor Ranbir's Animal hits the big screen on August 11.
