Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon-starrer Adipurush released in cinemas with mixed to negative responses from critics and the masses. And now, owing to the backlash film is receiving over the dialogue, the makers have now decided to alter the controversial lines of the film.
Om Raut-directed film had a mega release on June 16. Soon after the first show, netizens shared their discontent over the lines said by Bajrang (Devdutta Nage) to Indrajeet (Vatsal Sheth). During the Lanka Dahan scene, when Indrajeet sets Bajrang's tail on fire, he says, "Jali na." Bajrang replies to him saying, "Kapda tere baap ka, tel tere baap ka, jalegi bhi baap ki." This dialogue and other few lines have received major backlash from netizens, and they have slammed director Om and writer Manoj Muntashir.
Now, the makers realised that they have hurt the sentiments of the audience. Thus, T-Series' official spokesperson shared a note, that says, "Making this visual spectacle a memorable cinematic experience, the team decides to make alterations to the film’s dialogues –Valuing the input of the public and the audience."

The note further adds, "The makers are revisiting the said dialogues, ensuring to resonate with core essence of the film and the same will reflect in the theatres in the next few days. This decision is a testament that in spite of unstoppable collections at the Box Office, the team is committed and nothing is beyond the sentiments of their audiences and harmony at large."
Apart from the 'cringe-worthy' dialogue, the shoddy VFX and the representation of Lankesh (Saif Ali Khan) and Raghav (Prabhas) has also left a section of moviegoers disappointed. On Saturday, Adipurush writer Manoj Muntashir defended his dialogues and said, “A very meticulous thought process has gone into writing the dialogues for Bajrangbali. We have made it simple because we have to understand one thing (that) if there are multiple characters in a film, all of them can’t speak the language. There has to be a kind of diversion, a division.” However, on Sunday, he apologised for his creative liberty taken in the film, and he wrote a long note, announcing the changes in the film.
