Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan took to social media to wish his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, on his birthday. Abhishek turned 45 on Friday.
Wishing Abhishek on Instagram and his official blog, Big B posted a then-and-now collage of throwback pictures with his son.
"I lead him once holding his hand .. he leads me now holding my hand," the veteran actor wrote with the picture.
The first picture in the collage Abhishek as a child, being lead by Big B who holds his hand. The second image, a recent one has Abhishek holding his father's hand and leading him. The second picture seems to be clicked at a Bollywood function.
"He has been wished .. he has been decorated with the memories of his birth and connected in this world today on that flat piece of technology that has transformed the very existence of the human ? leads me .. when I did once lead him," Big B blogged.
On the work front, Big B will soon be seen with Emraan Hashmi in "Chehre", and in Nagraj Manjule`s "Jhund". In Ayan Mukerji's "Brahmastra" he shares screen space with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. The superstar also has an untitled film coming up with Prabhas and Deepika Padukone.
Meanwhile, several Bollywood celebrities took to social media to extend birthday wishes to Junior Bachchan.
Bachchan's 'Delhi 6' director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra shared a picture from the time of the shooting of the film and dedicated the hit song 'Rehna Tu' to him. The picture sees the actor-director duo seated in one of the Delhi-6 mosques. "Happy birthday @bachchan, Rehna tuh hai jaisa tuh," he wrote in the caption of the post.
Filmmaker Farah Khan, on the other hand, shared several pictures of herself with the birthday boy including a picture from the time when international singer Ed Sheeran had come to India. "You will always be my favourite boy .. soooo many happy memories with you, of you.. happy birthday @bachchan love you always, till we do the issnake dance again," she wrote in the caption.
Abhishek's 'Bol Bachchan' co-star Ajay Devgn took to Instagram to share a picture of himself with him and penned down a birthday note. "Happy Birthday dear Abhishek. Hope you have a good one. Wish you the very best today & always. @bachchan #HappyBirthdayAbhishekBachchan," he wrote.
Senior actor Sanjay Dutt took to Twitter and shared a picture of himself hugging Bachchan and wrote, "Happy Birthday little brother @juniorbachchan! May you always be blessed with the best."
Bachchan's 'Happy New Year' co-star Sonu Sood also shared a picture with him on Twitter and wished him on the ocassion. "Happy birthday mere bhai ..u were,u are and u will remain my most favourite. Love u loads. @juniorbachchan," he wrote.
Wishing her 'Delhi 6' co-star happy birthday, Sonam Kapoor shared a couple of pictures with the birthday boy and penned a special note on her Instagram Stories. "Happy happy birthday darling @bachchan I have the best memories of working with you.. you're kind, funny and supremely talented. No negativity has ever deterred your joie de vivre. Keep smiling and keep going. Lots and lots of love," wrote Kapoor. She also shared a monochromatic picture with the `Refugee` star.
Vicky Kaushal shared a heart-warming picture with Junior Bachchan and penned a birthday note on Instagram Story. Terming the 'Drona' actor one of her most favourite people, Neetu Kapoor shared an all smiles picture with Abhishek, that also featured her late husband Rishi Kapoor.
Wishing all the love, joy and happiness in the world, Katrina Kaif showered birthday wishes on Junior Bachchan via a post on her Instagram story. She wrote, "Happiest birthday @bachchan wish all the love, joy and happiness in the world."
Taking to her Instagram Story, Shilpa Shetty Kundra shared a smiling picture and a sweet note to her 'bhaiyu' Abhishek to extend birthday wishes. She wrote, "Happiest birthday to you Bhaaaiiiyuuuu [sic]...May you continue to light up lives of everyone around you like you always do, and may this year be yours to Rock and Roll! Loads of love and a tight hug for you!"
