The Hindi cinema icon shared a video made by the Mumbai Police about their special team of elite commandos

Amitabh Bachchan has donned the cop’s uniform several times in his illustrious career, so, the Hindi cinema icon was a natural fit when the Mumbai Police wanted someone to introduce their Quick Response Team to the public. Yesterday, the Big B shared a video created by the Mumbai Police, which has already garnered thousands of views and comments from people. While sharing the clip, he captioned it, ‘Samarpit unhe jo hamari raksha karte hain; desh samaj ke prati nishthavaan rehte hain’.

In the video, Bachchan, in his signature baritone and chaste Hindi, explains that the team was formed after the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai, to face any adverse situation in a quick and effective manner. The elite commandos have received training from experts far and wide and are also armed with the latest weapons to give a suitable reply to anyone who tries to put the city at risk. He ends the recording with the statement, ‘Mumbai Police. Aapki Police. Meri Police’. The video has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

People, too, have extended their support and encouragement for Mumbai Police’s initiative. While Abhijit Mukherjee tweeted, “Proud of Mumbai Police (sic)”, Raghavan JV wrote, “That’s so Brave and Beautiful sir... Such forces need to be established in such major town n cities across the country. Salute (sic).”
