In a recent interview with Times Of India, Amy Jackson opened up on getting trolled for her recent transformation and said, “I’m an actor and I take my job very seriously. For the last month, I’ve been filming a new project in the UK. So, for the character I am playing, I had to slim down and fully commit myself to the role.”
She further added, “The online outcry from the (mainly male) Indian demographic is quite sad. I’ve worked with male co-stars who had to drastically change their look for a film, and they were highly praised for it. The moment a woman does it through unusual hair and makeup which doesn’t conform to their idealism of beauty, they think they have the right to troll you.”
The actress’s recent look was compared to Cillian Murphy and reacting to the same, the actress said, “I’m over the moon. He’s chiselled perfection! I’ll get my flat cap and Brummie (Birmingham) accent ready for a Peaky Blinders comeback.”
On Thursday, Amy Jackson took to her Instagram and shared her new look for which the actress was brutally trolled. The actress was seen wearing a red shirt with a tie and with a short haircut.
Amy Jackson has worked in several Bollywood films. The actress made her Bollywood debut alongside Prateik Babbar in Ek Deewana Tha in 2011 and later went on to star in Singh Is Bling and in one of the most expensive Indian movies 2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. The actress will be making a comeback to the big screen after a long gap with the film Achcham Enbadhu Illayae. Her upcoming film is headlined by Arun Vijay.
