With constant speculation around the star cast of the much-anticipated Om Raut magnum opus 'Adipurush', rumours were that actor Anushka Sharma will be a part of project as Sita. However, sources confirm that the actor will not be a part of this project and expects to resume work from April 2021.
In fact, sources also reveal that Anushka has not been involved in the project at all and no details of this film have been discussed with her.
“Anushka is raring to resume work immediately post her pregnancy and there will be big announcements in place as and when the time is appropriate but Adipurush definitely doesn’t feature in her plans. She was not involved in the project at all and thus, she is definitely not doing the film. There has been no discussion on anything about this film right from the script to the dates with her,” informs a trade source.
“Adipurush, we hear, starts its shooting schedule soon, so, all this rumour of Anushka doing the project is full conjecture. Anushka is making concrete post pregnancy plans on her work front and we are excited about what those projects will be. As of now, she is soaking in all the happiness while expecting her first child. We think Anushka will be ready to shoot from end of April next year. That’s what she has been aiming for and given how fit and healthy she is, she will definitely be ready to roll at that time.”
In August, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli took to their social media handles to announce that they are expecting their first child together.
The announcement came with a picture of the couple with Anushka flaunting her baby bump in a black polka dot Nicholas outfit, while Virat sported a grey T-shirt and white pants.
With coordinated photos and captions, the duo shared the happy news with their fans and well-wishers on their social media profiles. They wrote, "And then, we were three. Arriving Jan 2021."
Meanwhile, Anushka, who is accompanying husband Virat Kohli, skipper of RCB, celebrated the good news with the players who were earlier in a mandatory quarantine after the team flew to UAE for IPL 2020 that begins on September 19. The team, skipper Virat and Anushka finally caught up and celebrated the special announcement made by the couple a few days ago.
Posting a video on their Twitter handle, RCB wrote," 7 days of quarantine in Bengaluru followed by 7 days in Dubai and 6 COVID tests later, the team finally got a chance to spend quality time together in a dedicated private beach and a state of the art team room, within the secure bio bubble."
