In honour of the the actress who wooed audience in her five decade long career, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi have already cancelled their annual Holi party. Earlier in the week, Rani Mukerji also cancelled a grand song launch event for her comeback film, Hichki.

Now, even screening of Anushka Sharma's Friday release Pari has been cancelled for tomorrow. The film's co-producer Prernaa Arora confirmed the news and said,  "We are deeply shocked and heartbroken with the untimely demise of our beloved Indian legend, Sridevi. To honour her memory and the legacy she left behind, KriArj Entertainment has decided to cancel the screening of their upcoming film, Pari, which was earlier scheduled for the 28th of February"

When the news of Sridevi's untimely death broke out , the actress also took to Twitter to mourn her demise. Anushka wrote, "I am shocked . I have no words. My condolences to the family , friends and fans of cinemas darling ... Sridevi ji"

The film, which also stars Parambrata Chatterjee and Ritabhari Chakraborty, has been directed by Prosit Roy. Pari is slated to hit the theatres on March 2 this year.

DNA After Hrs earlier reported that the film’s team has a different marketing strategy. For starters, they don’t want any heavy-duty promotions for it. Says a source, “They don’t want anything to be revealed just as yet. It was Anushka and brother Karnesh Sharma’s call to not lineup any interviews, lest they end up revealing anything from the film. Pari isn’t a film where one can even talk about what’s there in it. They want to keep the mystery intact.” Moreover, the actress-producer won’t be in Mumbai when the movie releases. Our source adds, “Anushka is currently in Bhopal, shooting with Varun Dhawan for Sui Dhaaga. She won’t take any break and will return only in April.”
