Their 'friendship' has been the subject of much speculation ever since Malaika walked out of her 17-year-old marriage. Reports had earlier emerged that while Arbaaz and his family are certainly unhappy with the recent developments, Arjun's father Boney Kapoor is also rather upset with his son's choice.
A SpotBoye report had earlier stated that Boney was worried about Arjun and Malaika's relation upsetting Salman Khan and consequently affecting his son's career.
When the alleged couple wasn't seen together for so long, people assumed that he has taken his father's words seriously and decided to maintain distance from the 'Munni Badnaam' actress. However, things do not seem to have changed much. On the contrary, they have only intensified.
It seems that Arjun and Malaika are ready to make their relationship official. The two decided to sit together on Day 4 of Lakme Fashion Week, despite heavy paparazzi presence.
What's interesting is that his half-sisters - Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor were sitting right next to him. So, is it safe to say then that Boney has given his approval or was it just a mere co-incidence that the four happened to sit together? Well, only time will tell.
They looked quite happy and content in each other's company. Malaika had once said, "Arjun is a very good friend of mine. But people give a very different meaning to it, which isn't true."
