Well, that’s what the rumour mills are certainly buzzing about

After Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma intimate wedding, there are reports of another power couple taking the leap. Well, we are talking about the much-in-love couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.

Speculations are rife Ranveer and Deepika are getting engaged on Padukone's birthday, this Friday. Deepika, who was holidaying in Vienna, flew off to Sri Lanka to ring in the new year with the alleged boyfriend, Ranveer. According to fresh rumours, Ranveer and Deepika will also exchange rings on the latter’s birthday in the island country. However, it looks pretty far-fetched a theory currently. For someone like Ranveer Singh has always been known to wear his heart on his sleeve. So it's more likely, if and when he decides to propose Deepika, it will be one big splash and not a secret hush-hush event. Also, these kind of rumours about actors getting engaged during their birthdays have been doing the rounds for ages. Most of the time, the day just passes without any announcement. Probably the stars are too busy to celebrate their birthdays rather than going into any additional commitment on that day!

Deepika, who turns 32 on January 5 this year, has been dating for five years now after they began dating on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2013 film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela. From rumours of their break-up to their patch-up, the much-adored couple has been hogging the limelight over the last few years ever since the news of their dating started doing the rounds.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Ranveer and Deepika will be next seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmavati. The film, which has been embroiled in controversies ever since its announcement, was earlier slated to release last year on December 1, 2017. As per recent reports, the title of the film (from Padmavati to Padmavat) has been changed by CBFC and we hope the film hits theatres soon.
