After shooting a special televised programme for the BSF (Border Security Force) personnel in Jammu, Ayushmann Khurrana paid a visit to the Vaishno Devi temple. Apparently, the Bareilly Ki Barfi actor had been wanting to go there for many years but couldn’t manage to do so because of his hectic work schedules. Since he was already in the Valley, Ayushmann decided to trek up approximately 12 km to the shrine after wrapping up the two-day shoot.
Ayushmann says, “I used to visit Vaishno Devi with my friends during my college days in Chandigarh, out of devotion and for the adventure of covering the climb in record time. In 2006, I went to seek blessings before my struggling days in Mumbai began.” He adds, “Despite meaning to go back to thank the Goddess for all that I’ve been blessed with, I wasn’t able to go there for 12 years! Since I was in Jammu, I could visit the site that has a special place in my life.” A source tells us that for the show, the actor sang, danced and had a heart-to-heart conversation with the jawans along with doing strenuous physical activities that they do every day.
