After writing films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Baahubali for Salman Khan and Prabhas respectively, KV Vijayendra Prasad, who has also scripted Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika, is now keen to work with Shah Rukh Khan. The septuagenarian recently approached the Bollywood badshah with the script of a revenge drama.
A source says, “He has written the story keeping SRK in mind. The two recently had a meeting in Mumbai. Prasad flew down from Hyderabad and narrated the story to Shah Rukh.” Like his other films, this too, is expected to be mounted on a huge canvas. “It is a revenge saga, with lots of drama and action,” reveals our source. But Shah Rukh, who’s currently busy with Aanand L Rai’s Zero, hasn’t given a nod to the movie as of now. “He met Prasad, but he is yet to take a call on the film. He will wrap up Zero before announcing his next project. He’s still deciding which one to pick,” adds the source. We tried contacting the Baahubali writer but he remained unavailable for comment. Interestingly, Prasad has been roped in to script the sequels to the Anil Kapoor-starrer Nayak and Akshay Kumar’s Rowdy Rathore as well. He had also admitted to having approached Ajay Devgn for a period film which the superstar had turned down. Will SRK say yes? Let’s wait and watch.
