Ranveer Singh starrer 83 has become one of the most-awaited films of 2020. The movie is based on the event of India's 1983 World Cup win. Ranveer is set to play the legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. Kapil was the captain of Indian cricket team at that time.
Ranveer Singh and the remaining cast of ‘83 landed in Dharamshala for a workshop this week. Kabir Khan, reportedly, wanted his team to bond with the real-life sportsperson who they were portraying on screen. Ranveer seems to have really bonded well with Kapil Dev.
The actor even posted a photo with Kapil Dev. They both donned Indian cricket team jerseys. Meanwhile Ranveer was snapped while Dev was trying to explain him the method of bowling. Ranveer and the team of 83 was previously seen having a good time with former Indian cricket team coach Balwinder Singh Sandhu. For the uninitiated, Kapil Dev won India’s first cricket World Cup against West Indies at the Lords Stadium in England under the guidance of coach Sandhu.
The movie is helmed by 'Ek Tha Tiger' director Kabir Khan. Apart from Ranveer, it also stars Pankaj Tripathi as the coach Man Singh, Chirag Patil as his father Sandip Patil, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Hardy Sandhu as Madan Lal, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar and more.
