Bharat: Here are details of Dharmendra's connection with Salman Khan's Eid 2019 release

Salman Khan seeks Dharmendra's creative inputs for Eid 2019 film, Bharat', here's why

After reviving Bobby Deol's career with 'Race 3', Salman Khan also gets veteran actor Dharmendra on board for his Eid 2019 film 'Bharat'. No, it's not for a role but for his creative inputs for the film which pans over 60 years in the life of Salman Khan's character.

Ali Abbas Zafar directorial venture which already boasts of the star-studded ensemble including Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Disha Patani, Tabu and Sunil Grover wishes to have yesteryear actor's inputs for the important segment in the film. We already know that Disha Patani will be seen in the role of a trapeze artist in Circus set in the 1960s and the filmmaker wishes to pay tribute to Raj Kapoor's film 'Mera Naam Joker' through this segment in the film. Dharmendra who was also a part of the Raj Kapoor film is now lending his support to Salman Khan's film. 

In an interview to Deccan Chronicle, Dharam paaji said, Dharamji says, “Working with Raj Kapoor saab was a dream come true for me. I had idolised him and Dilip Kumar saab long before I became an actor. When he offered me a role in Mera Naam Joker, I just grabbed it. No questions asked. Now when Salman,  who is very close to me and my family, is doing something similar, I’d be most happy to advise him in whatever way he wants.” 

'Bharat' will feature Salman Khan sporting five different looks spanning 60 years, wherein a crucial part will showcase the actor in his late 20s, looking much leaner and younger. Salman Khan will be recreating his 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' look which has created immense excitement amongst the audience.  

Bharat's release also brings back Salman Khan and director Ali Abbas Zafar for an Eid release after the 2016 Blockbuster Hit, Sultan. The hit director-actor duo will be marking a hattrick with Bharat after their last outing Tiger Zinda Hai.

The film is set to have a character-driven story spanning across many periods. Bharat will be shot across locations in Abu Dhabi and Spain, besides Punjab and Delhi in India. 

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, 'Bharat' is produced by Atul Agnihotri's Reel Life Production Pvt. Ltd and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series releasing Eid 2019.
