First official trailer for Harshvardhan Kapoor's Bhavesh Joshi Superhero landed on Wednesday and staying true to the dark theme of the graphic promotional posters, the 2.49 minutes long video briskly tells the story of a prankster turning into superhero vigilante.
The trailer begins with an idea of a graphic novel about a vigilante standing against corruption. At first, Bhavesh and his friend take the idea like a comic book story should be received. For the pleasure of reading and discussing.
But the concept quickly becomes the seed idea for a YouTube channel called 'The Insaaf Show.' In the show Bhavesh & Co, wearing a black barber's robe and brown paper bag for a mask, stop people from committing illegal acts like public urination, burning garbage instead of recycling and so on.
As they become popular, Bhavesh stumbles upon the scam run by water mafias in Mumbai. This is where things get dark.
To tackle the gigantic problem in front of him, shaped by the situation, Bhavesh transforms into a vigilante. Rest will be the story of Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.
The trailer has a dark undertone with a comedic splash. Nishikant Kamat's villain comes across as cold-blooded and calculative. Watching this one in play should be fun. As for Harshvardhan Kapoor, the trailer looks promising enough to help people forget Mirzya.
