Budget 2019: FM Goyal name drops Uri: Surgical Strike, Parliament shouts 'How's the Josh?'

Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike has become the first surprise hit of 2019

India is currently only talking about the Budget 2019, which is being presented by Finance Minister Piyush Goyal. Talking about various sectors like infrastructure, housing, modern agriculture practices, rural industrialization, clean rivers, health, right for women and their empowerment, space program, food exports, he also mentioned fiscal deficit and expenditure.

Goyal said, “Yeh jo desh badal raha hai, desh ki josh se badal raha hai”, to which the other members screamt, “How’s the josh?” For the same, he gave a special mention to Uri: The Surgical Strike.

He later on went on to talk about entertainment subsidy and said, “A single window clearance for filmmaking to be made available to filmmakers, anti-camcording provision to also to be introduced to Cinematography Act to fight piracy.”

Uri: The Surgical Strike has become the first surprise hit of 2019. It stood tall against Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba, which was director Rohit Shetty’s eight 100-crore club film. Uri starred Sanju actor Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and Mohit Raina in lead roles. The film, which has become a topic among every proud Indian, is helmed by a debutant director Aditya Dhar.

After the movie’s release, Prime Minister (from ruling party BJP) Narendra Modi had met Vicky and other stars (including team Simmba – Ranveer, Rohit and Karan Johar) to discuss the impact of GST on Entertainment sector.
