This year Deepika Padukone's second appearance at the Cannes film festival

Deepika Padukone, who is making her second appearance at Cannes Film Festival as the brand ambassador for L’Oreal this year, has finally unveiled her red carpet look for the first day. Shutting down her haters, the Padmaavat actress stepped out in a risque Zuhair Murad white sheer gown with her patent plunging neck line and a divine cape. She ditched the middle-parting this time, and let her gorgeous hair open, leaving her fans super delighted. How we wish she would have opted for this heavenly outfit for MET Gala 'Heavenly Bodies' instead of the red number. However, we must praise her where it's warranted and this time she has truly earned all the adjectives that are flowing her way.

Deepika shared her red carpet look on day one at Cannes 2018 on social media writing, “Ready to rock and roll”

"No one carries elegance as effortlessly as you do @deepikapadukone You look #dropdeadgorgeous. You symbolize elegance and royalty in your outfits so beautifully. Your sweet smile just adds that perfect bonus. Always an inspiration for women. Enjoy #Cannes," wrote an ardent fan.

For the morning interviews, DP had opted for a knotted white crop top and a pair of mid-rise denims and a pair of oversized, tinted retro glasses. While a few of her fans lauded her for daring to opt for a pair of jeans on day 1, the fashion police didn't seem very pleased with her. "This look perfect for an airport look or a outgoing look or coffee date or shopping...But Not for Event Like this...You started broke my hopes [sic]," read one comment. "

The striped Tome NYC dress garnered no likes either, despite of the sexy neckline. But we are ready to forgive her as the sheer gown has compensated for all the sartorial crimes she has committed in the past.

The third look of the day had the diva in a Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini geometric-print dress. With her hair tied up in a messy pony tail and huge candy-pink hearts dangling from her ears, this one has to be the loudest sartorial choice Deepika has ever made at Cannes.
