Paresh Rawal shares his look for the film 'Uri' where he will be seen in the role of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval

Paresh Rawal seems to be the first choice of filmmakers to play the role of real-life heroes on the big screen. The veteran actor will not only be seen in Rajkumar Hirani's 'Sanju' where he plays the role of actor turned politician Sunil Dutt, he also confirmed to be playing the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a biopic which goes on floors in September this year.

But that's not all, MP Paresh Rawal will also be playing yet another real-life hero in Vicky Kaushal-Yami Gautam's upcoming film 'Uri'. The actor shared his unbelievable transformation for the part of National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval. He took to Twitter to share his pictures from the sets of the film and wrote, "Essaying the role of the respected NSA in my next film" and "Proud to be playing our hero Mr. Ajit Doval in film URI by Aditya Dhar."

For the uninitiated, Doval is a living legend in the intelligence community and not just was the National Security Advisor during the surgical strike in 2016, he has also handled complex issues like Mizo insurgency and the release of IC 814 hostages from Kandahar. Operation Black Thunder-II that was launched to flush out militants from the Golden Temple in 1988 was under him as well. Doval also became the first police officer to be awarded the second-highest peacetime gallantry award, the Kirti Chakra, for his exploits during that operation.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is based on Surgical strikes in Uri on September 2016 when terrorists from Pakistan attacked a military base in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir leaving 19 Indian soldiers dead. Eleven days later, the Indian Army retaliated with a series of surgical strikes on terrorist camps across the border.
