This number is high on emotions, nostalgia and longing...

After the peppy track Shugal Laga Le, the makers of Saif Ali Khan's upcoming release Chef have unveiled the song Tere Mere from the film. It's a beautifully haunting melody that's surely going to stay with us for quite sometime.

The entire song presents a montage of scenes through which we come to know that Roshan Kalra (Saif Ali Khan) realises the consequences of his decisions taken in the past and longs to go back to his estranged lady love (played by Padmapriya). It also highlights how the priorities of Roshan change with the realisation. Once he was an ambitious man but now all he wants is to be with his loved ones.

But it's not the visuals that make the song stay in your heart. What does that trick is the soulful composition by Amaal Mallik, sung equally mellifluously by his brother Armaan Malik. The lyrics by Rashmi Virag are so on point that you don't even need the visuals to get the feel of the song.

Everything about Tere Mere song, from the rendition to the haunting yet beautiful nostalgia factor works wonderfully for the track. The sense of longing looms large in the entire song.
