After changing the judges on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge — Zakir Khan, Mallika Dua and Hussain Dalal gave way to Sajid Khan and Shreyas Talpade — the makers have now got a co-host with Elli AvrRam. Already one episode has been shot with Sanket Bhosale and Elli as hosts. The episode will be aired this weekend. And now, Chunky Pandey has been roped in for one episode. He will be co-hosting as Aakhri Pasta (his character from Housefull). Incidentally, it will also be his reunion with Housefull director Sajid and Akshay who played the lead in the film.
Says a source, “Every week, there will be somebody co-hosting with Elli. This is to add to the fun quotient of the show. Though they have not yet zeroed in on the other names, those likely to come on board are Maniesh Paul and Sunil Grover, who are known for their sense of humour and comic timing. They will be part of different episodes.”
Ever since the show started, Elli’s hosting has been under the scanner, thanks to her broken Hindi and poor diction. There were even talks of her being replaced or roping in Maniesh as the co-host. Looks like the makers have found another way to bridge the gap.
