CISF personnel who slapped Kangana Ranaut reinstated and transferred to Bengaluru? Here's what we know
CISF personnel Kulwinder Kaur had reportedly slapped Kangana Ranaut at the Chandigarh Airport in June.
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel Kulwinder Kaur, who allegedly slapped actor-turned-politician and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut at the Chandigarh airport in June, was suspended after the shocking incident. On Wednesday, July 3, some reports emerged that Kulwinder has been reinstated back to her job and has been transferred to Bangalore.
However, CISF issued a clarification on the matter soon and told ANI that Kaur still remains suspended and is facing a departmental inquiry against her. The ANI took to its X (previously known as Twitter) account and posted the statement made by the CISF. It read, "CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur, who allegedly slapped BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, is still suspended and a departmental inquiry against her is still on: CISF."
After Kulwinder Kaur allegedly slapped Kangana Ranaut, the actress shared a video on her X handle with the caption, "Shocking rise in terror and violence in Punjab." In the clip, the Panga actress said, "I was hit on the face and abused. When I asked why she did it, she said she supports the farmers. I am safe but concerned about terrorism in Punjab."
Kaur, who was on duty at the Chandigarh Airport for the past two-and-a-half years, stated that she was upset because of the statements made by Kangana during the farmers' protest. "She made a statement that the farmers were sitting in protest for Rs 100. Will she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there and protesting when she made this statement," she had said.
