Confirmed! Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor to begin shooting Luv Ranjan's film in 2020

Contrary to speculations, Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn has just confirmed that his film with Luv Ranjan is set to go on floors, that too very soon i.e. next year i.e. 2020. The Golmaal actor will star alongside Sanju actor Ranbir Kapoor for the film. “Ranbir and I start shooting from next year as planned,” the actor told Mumbai Mirror in an interview.

This however isn’t the first time when great actors Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn are pairing up together. They were previously a part of Raajneeti too. The movie also starred Ranbir’s ladylove from that time – Katrina Kaif - along with Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee and others.

Luv Ranjan is the man responsible for making the now in-demand actor Kartik Aaryan famous with Pyaar Ka Punchnama franchise and later, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. His movie with Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor too is touted to be a romantic-comedy.

Ranbir is currently in news for relationship updates on his girlfriend Alia Bhatt, who also happens to be his Brahmastra co-star. The two seem to be serious about each other, since their families have been involved. On the professional front, Alia has a release – Gully Boy - co-starring Ranveer Singh, which is slated for Valentine’s Day release.

Ajay Devgn last made a whistle-worthy cameo appearance as Bajirao Singham, in Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba. He is now going to be seen in an out-and-out comedy Total Dhamaal. The actor might have replaced Sanjay Dutt in the franchise.

Meanwhile Ranbir Kapoor is busy with the dream project Brahmastra which will see him with superhero powers of sorts. Post that too, he has an epic film Shamshera with Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor. For Ranbir, the Luv Ranjan film might be a complete switch, but we never doubt his acting capabilities anyway, so we doubt he would disappoint, especially in a rom-com. Interestingly, the film might also star Tabu in a pivotal role.
