Talking about shooting in the 45 degrees temperature of Rajasthan, a source from Super 30's team stated to Bombay Times, "Hrithik wanted to be in that environment. He would stand on the streets for hours in that heat to get the character right. Even when the makers were discussing his look, it was a challenge to imagine the actor, who is amongst the hottest men in Bollywood, as a papad seller. Multiple look tests were carried out to get the right look. In fact, the look was finally locked when the team started shooting the first schedule in Rajasthan."

When Hrithik was asked about it, he went on to say, "The environment and location were difficult to shoot in, not only for me but also for the entire crew. It was a constant struggle to stay in character and be comfortable with being uncomfortable. The papad-selling phase of Anand Kumar’s journey is important as it became the genesis of all that he did later on in his life."

Super 30 is directed by Vikas Bahl and is slated to release on July 12, 2019.
