Talking about '83, the film is based on India's first and historic win at Cricket World Cup against West Indies in the year 1983. In the film, Ranveer plays the role of legendary cricketer and former skipper Kapil Dev while Deepika will be seen as his onscreen wife Romi Dev. '83 is being shot entirely in London and the film is slated to release on April 10, 2020.
This is Deepika and Ranveer's fourth outing together after Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. Although, Ranveer had a special appearance in Deepika starrer Finding Fanny.
