Deepika Padukone arrives at NCB office; being probed on Bollywood drugs nexus, Sushant Singh Rajput

Deepika Padukone has arrived at the NCB office and is currently being interrogated about the Bollywood drug nexus and Sushant Singh Rajput case

Actor Deepika Padukone, after being summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau, arrived at Mumbai Port Trust Guest House in Colaba, where the agency is currently operating from. She was papped outside the office on Saturday (September 26) morning at 9.45 am.

The actress' name has come up in drug angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. Her manager Karishma Prakash, who was interrogated by NCB for about 7 hours on Friday, was is likely to be confronted with Deepika today.

It was also reported that Deepika's husband, actor Ranveer Singh filed a request with NCB to let him be part of the investigation because Deepika gets 'anxiety attacks'. The NCB denied the reports in a statement. "There are questions that whether Ranveer Singh is joining investigation with Deepika. We confirm that we have not received any such request from any summoned person. The last email received from the concerned summoned person is only regarding joining the investigation," said NCB SIT team's KPS Malhotra.

Karishma Prakash on Friday reportedly confessed before the NCB that Deepika had a WhatsApp group running dealing with drug chats. 

According to sources, Karishma told the NCB officials during the probe that Deepika was the admin of a WhatsApp chat group related to drugs. There were only three people in the chat group including Jaya Saha, Karishma Prakash, and Deepika Padukone. The WhatsApp group chat on drugs dates back to 2017. While she confessed to smoking, Karishma denied that she had ever consumed drugs herelf.

Sources reveal that about Deepika, Karishma said that the actress is very health conscious and has never taken drugs.

Karishma has been Deepika's manager for the last eight years while the former has been associated with KWAN for nine years.

Apart from Deepika, Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan will also appear before the agency today. It is reported that Sara is directly linked to Sushant's case, while Shraddha's name came up in Bollywood drug nexus.
