'Mahabarat' is said to be Aamir Khan's dream project, for which he has carried out intense research in order to ensure that each character is portrayed authentically

One of the most successful actresses in town, Deepika Padukone had a lovely 2018 with her last film Padmaavat doing extremely well at the box office and of course, her marriage with actor Ranveer Singh

After the release of Paadmavat, Deepika took a break from films for a while. But looks like break time is over for the actress as she has signed a project which will be directed by the Raazi director Meghna Gulzar

The film is expected to go on floors in March next year. Deepika will also be turning producer with this film, in which she will be essaying the role of an acid attack victim.

Reports also claim that Deepika Padukone was approached by Aamir Khan for his next– Mahabharat

In fact, several times, the actress was spotted outside the Thugs Of Hindostan actor's house as well, which suggests that talks were on the table.

Reports also stated that Aamir had approached Deepika for the role of Draupadi in the film.

However, according to a recent report in Mumbai Mirror, the actress has turned down the offer and said no to Aamir Khan's ambitious project.

Mahabarat is said to be Aamir's dream project. The actor has carried out intense research in order to ensure that each character is portrayed authentically.

In fact, he walked out of Mahesh Mathai's space drama, Saare Jahan Se Achha, the biopic on Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to visit space, for Mahabharat.

Aamir then recommended Shah Rukh Khan for the film.

Reports also suggest that Aamir Khan is planning to make Mahabharat into a seven-part series which will have different directors for each series.

Even though this seems ingteresting, we are sad that Deepika won't share screen space with Aamir for this project at least.
