After a long time, Ashutosh Rana is coming back on the big screen with Karan Johar's 'Dhadak'. Here's what he has to say about his experience working on the film.

After staying away from the silver screen for a long time, actor Ashutosh Rana, will soon be seen sharing screen space with Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in the upcoming film Dhadak

Not much was revealed about Ashutosh's role in the film, and only when the trailer of the film released, did the audience discover that he plays the father of Janhvi, and a narrow-minded landlord in the film.

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Ashutosh Rana opened up about his equation with the producer of the film Karan Johar, and director Shashank Khaitan.

He said, "I share a great relationship with Karan Johar's production house and (director) Shashank Khaitan who has strived to explore my full potential as an actor. "

The star also said that his character in the film is "magnetic", and that viewers will be drawn into his psyche.

Not only is his relation with Karan and Shashank dandy, but his bond with the young stars Janhvi and Ishaan has been great too.

In fact, he contemplates that working with them has "sharpened his skills".

"When you're working with actors like Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt you need to be on your toes, they rejuvenate you. And while Janhvi and Ishaan are young, you cannot be laidback around them either. They have mastered the skill of being in front of the camera. For someone experienced and considered a good actor, they never let me feel relaxed. They have shown me that age doesn't matter, edge does," he told Mumbai Mirror.

"Working with Janhvi and Ishaan helped me sharpen my skills, it's a great way to not grow old as an actor," Ashutosh added.

Dhadak is Ashutosh's second film with Shashank Khaitan. He was a part of the director's Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, starring Varun and Alia.

The movie, which is Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter's maiden Bollywood, is a remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat.

Dhadak is set in Rajasthan and tracks the love story of Parthavi (Janhvi) and Madhur (Ishaan), and is slated to release on July 20.
