Dhvani Bhanushali, who had a rocking 2018 with the chartbuster Dilbar and her solo single Leja Re, recently turned 21. Having idolised pop singers since a young age and always dreaming of becoming one, the young artiste followed the path diligently to achieve her goal. After being in the music industry for just two years, her songs are garnering a lot of views and she is steadily increasing her fan base. On her birthday, Dhvani announced that she is currently working on her new single Vaaste, where she will collaborate with singer Nikhil D’Souza for the first time. While Tanishk Bagchi has composed the soulful love track, its lyrics have been written by Arafat Mehmood. The video will be shot in a Mumbai college over this weekend by the talented duo of Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. Apart from several pop songs, Radhika and Vinay, who directed the original Leja Leja Re, have also helmed a few music videos with Salman Khan for Dabangg (2010) and Dabangg 2 (2012).
Vaaste is Dhvani’s fourth single with T-Series. The label has recently signed her as their in-house music talent. With Ishare Tere, which was her first big collaboration with Guru Randhawa, the songstress entered the Hindi music space with a bang. Following this, Dilbar became an overnight hit. The foot-tapping number broke several records in the digital arena and became the fastest 100 million-viewed song. The singer’s first solo single Leja Re currently holds more than 292 million views on YouTube. In the last decade, it is the first-ever single to garner maximum views in just two months. High on its success, Dhvani went on to croon her first original Main Teri Hoon, followed by Duniyaa from Luka Chuppi and Laila from Notebook. Since then, she has only seen a rise in the love she has received for her music.
Dhvani says, “I am on cloud nine with the kind of response that my songs have received. This love helps me keep going and gives me the confidence to do more work. This birthday, I want to do more riyaaz, work harder and follow my passion and dream to achieve more. My next step is to start prepping for Vaaste’s shoot.”
