While Sridevi was shooting for Lamhe in Manchester along with the cast and crew, the news of her father’s death had reached the director. He didn't have the courage to break the news to her and just asked her to take a flight back to home to visit her ailing father. Once Sridevi reached home and knew about her father's death, she immediately informed the director she will join back in 16 days and as she had promises, Sridevi was back on the 17th day. Yash Chopra tried comforting her and asked her if she was emotionally fit to play her onscreen character, Sridevi told her she was here to do her job and she will do it. Ironically she was supposed to shoot for a funny scene with funny scene with Waheed Rehman and she did it with perfection, without letting her personal loss come in the way of her work.

Meanwhile, the Dubai police on Monday released the forensic report of veteran actor Sridevi, who died in a hotel here on February 24.
