Diwali 2020: Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli celebrate festival of lights, actress gives glimpse of celebrations

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, who announced their pregnancy earlier this year, are set to welcome their first child in January 2021.

Coronavirus pandemic sure has changed a lot of things. It has completed changed the way people function on a daily basis and even how festivals are celebrated. A rather hushed and intimate Diwali this year as compared to most years where grand celebrations have been the 'normal', the pandemic has made everyone adapt to newer ways and means to celebrate the festival of lights.   

Consequently, actress Anushka Sharma too adapted to the 'new normal' in her own way.

On Saturday, giving a glimpse of celebrations at her residence, actress and mom-to-be Anushka Sharma shared photos on her Instagram stories showing fans what Diwali celebrations were like at her home. And besides all the amazing flower and diya decor, one could spot sanitiser bottles too which were made to be part of decorations too. 

"Hand sanitisers also part of the decoration. The times we are living in." wrote Anushka on her Instagram stories alongside a photo of two sanitiser bottles placed on a stool and between flowers for everyone to use.

In another photo that Anushka shared, one could see a rangoli of flowers which were decorated by diyas and not to miss the star's love for nature with the well-kept plants in the photo. She captioned it, “Happy Diwali”.

Earlier, the parents to be had sent heartfelt wishes to the fans on Diwali. 

While Anushka shared a GIF on Instagram stories that featured a diya and 'Happy Diwali' written on it, Virat took to his Instagram handle to share a video where he wished everyone a safe and prosperous Diwali.
