Tanushree Dutta had said that her chemistry with Emraan Hashmi was like that of a brother and sister. While talking about their romantic film Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Emraan has now reacted to Tanushree's remark.
The 2005 release Aashiq Banaya Aapne starred Emraan Hashmi, Tanushree Dutta, and Sonu Sood in the leading roles. Emraan and Tanushree's intimate scenes from the romantic thriller became quite popular. In a recent interview, Emraan has now reacted to Tanushree calling their chemistry in the film 'brotherly'.
In an interview with ScoopWhoop, when the Tiger 3 actor was asked if he realises how Aashiq Banaya Aapne led to sexual awakening among the men in an entire generation, Emraan recalled Tanushree's remark and said, "Did you hear Tanushree’s quote three weeks ago? I don’t know if it was a verbatim quote or what. She said that it was like 'brotherly'. I said, 'What did the director tell her and what did he tell me?' I had another narrative going on my head and she had another narrative going in her head. I was never told the story about incest. I don’t know what she was thinking but fine."
In an interview with Filmygyan last year, Tanushree had shared her thoughts on being judged for her intimate scenes and talked about her chemistry with Emraan. She had said, "The biggest and top-most actresses have done kissing, lovemaking scenes. Unko koi kuch nahi bolta. Mujhse sabko dikkat ho jati hai. Main short skirt pehnu ya koi aisa scene kar du. Acting hai, bhai. Usmein mera aur Emraan ka kuch personal tha nahi. (No one says anything to them. Everyone has an issue with me whenever I wear a short skirt or do a scene like that. It’s just acting. There was nothing between personal between me and Emraan in it). Mine and Emraan’s chemistry is like brother-sister. Literally."
Aashiq Banaya Aapne marked the acting debut of Tanushree Dutta and the directorial debut of Aditya Datt. The film also marked the singing debut of Himesh Reshammiya, who sang the chartbuster hits Aashiq Banaya Aapne and Aap Ki Kashish, and also composed the soundtrack.
