EXCLUSIVE - 'I hope it brings good for Jammu and Kashmir': 'Kesari' director Anurag Singh on scrapping of Article 370

During an exclusive interaction, the director of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Kesari' Anurag Singh spoke about the recent historic decision of scrapping of Article 370.

On August 5, 2019, Home Minister Amit Shah announced that Article 370, which gave a special status to Jammu & Kashmir, has been scrapped through Constitution (Application to Jammu &  Kashmir) Order 2019, signed by President Ram Nath Kovind. The Centre also proposed to convert the state into two Union Territories. This historic decision by the Centre created a huge uproar across the country and there were a different set of reactions altogether.

During an Exclusive interaction with DNA Web, we quizzed Anurag Singh, the director of Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari about his opinion on Article 370 is repealed. To which he stated, "As a concerned citizen of this country, I do really know all perspectives to it. I am not that aware or educated about Article 370 to comment on that. I hope it brings good for J & K, society and people who are living there be happy. We have to see what kind of effect it has and hopes it's positive for the people there. I am worried about them, those are my people and citizens of this country. I want them to be happy and our country to be prosperous."

Anurag concluded by saying, "Whether it should have been done or not I m not sure."

Earlier several Bollywood celebrities had reacted on this decision by posting it on their social media pages. Many hailed the decision and also prayed for peace and prosperity in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh as well.
