‘Devon Ke Dev Mahadev’ actor Mohit Raina is facing many firsts of his life in 2019. The actor, after gaining fame on television, is soon set to make his Bollywood debut with Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri.
Along with that, Mohit will also be making his web show debut which is a biopic on IPS officer Navniet Sekera and is titled Bhaukaal. But the actor, who was last seen on the TV show ‘21 Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897’, already made his web debut since the show became part of the digital space.
Before he receives response to his upcoming release Uri, Mohit also spoke about the time when his web show was received in a way he never expected it to.
Recollecting the incident, Mohit said, “(The show was received) Very well, and I'm not kidding. I remember I was at the Haji Ali signal where some guys selling flowers were trying to convince me. He saw me and said, 'Arre sir aap! Aap hi ka show dekh raha tha main abhi!' In my mind, I assumed that he was doing this to sell his flowers, but then he showed his phone to me right where he had paused, and it was my show! That's when I realized the power of digital platform.”
Uri: The Surgical Strike is directed by Aditya Dhar and is based on the 2016 Uri attack, which was reported as "the deadliest attack on security forces in Kashmir in two decades". In this movie, Mohit plays the role of Captain Karan Kashyap. Uri also stars Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam and Kirti Kulhari in pivotal roles.
