After the success of 'Stree', which was a horror comedy, seems like Bollywood wants to explore the genre. Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Fatima Sana Shaikh are coming together for a horror comedy film titled 'Bhoot Police'.
This is the first time the duo will be seen sharing screen space. The film will be a horror comedy in 3D.
Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on his Twitter handle. He wrote, "OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT... Saif Ali Khan, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh in #BhootPolice... A horror-comedy in 3D... Directed by Pavan Kirpalani... Produced by Fox Star Studios... Shoot commences Aug 2019." 'Bhoot Police' will be directed by Pavan Kripalani and the shooting will begin from August this year.
For the unversed, Kripalani has earlier helmed films like 'Ragini MMS' and 'Phobia', among others. Reportedly, earlier, the film was titled 'Tantrik' and Abhishek Bachchan was set to play the lead role. However, due to some unknown reasons, Saif was roped in for the film.
Meanwhile, Saif is currently busy with 'Taanaji: The Unsung Hero' in which he will play an antagonist, the film also stars Ajay Devgn. He will also be featuring in and co-producing Nitin Kakkar's next 'Jawani Janeman'. He will also be seen in 'Dil Bechara', which stars Sushant Singh Rajput along side him. The film is the Hindi adaptation of 'The Fault In Our Stars'.
Saif is also shooting for web series Sacred Games season 2. On the other hand, Fatima will be next seen alongside Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Bachchan in Anurag Basu's dark comedy.
