'Fukrey' actor Olanokiotan Gbolabo Lucas dies, co-stars Farhan Akhtar, Varun Sharma express grief

Sharing the news on Twitter, actor Farhan Akhtar extended condolences and mourned the death of Lucas.

In tragic news, actor Olanokiotan Gbolabo Lucas, who essayed the role of Bobby in the hit film 'Fukrey', breathed his last on Saturday. 

Sharing the news on Twitter, actor Farhan Akhtar, under whose production banner the 2013 film was made, extended condolences and mourned the death of Lucas.

Calling him a 'dear cast member', alongside a monochrome picture of the late actor, Farhan wrote, "A dear cast member Olanokiotan Gbolabo Lucas, who played the role of Bobby in the Fukrey film franchise, has passed away. Deepest condolences to his family. You will be missed.. RIP." 

Actor Varun Sharma too mourned Lucas' death. 

Varun, who played the role of Dilip 'Choocha' Singh in 'Fukrey' took to his social media handle to express grief over the sudden demise of his co-star. 

"With a heavy heart, we are saddened to inform that we have lost a very important cast member. He will be missed and remembered. always. Rest in peace," Varun wrote on his Instagram story.



Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Fukrey starred Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha, Varun Sharma, and Manjot Singh in pivotal roles. 

The film was a such a blockbuster hit that it was followed up with a sequel 'Fukrey Returns'. And now, "Fukrey 3' is scheduled to go on floors late in 2021.

On the work front, actor Farhan Akhtar is currently filming sports drama, 'Toofan'. 

Helmed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film stars Farhan as a national level boxer. It will also stars Mrunal Thakur and Paresh Rawal in prominent roles.
